After graduating as a Biochemist from Cardiff University in 2006, Ricky has dedicated his career to supporting careers in the Life Sciences. Ricky’s core passion is to “Change Lives” which is where the vision for HRS came from. Also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and past Chair of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation’s Life Sciences committee.
Passionate for driving excellence in recruitment and raising the standards in the sector, Ricky is the Host of the “Recruiter Ricky – How to Get Hired Podcast” as well as an employability expert on a number of televised programmes including Stacey Dooley’s The Nine to Five on BBC2 and iPlayer.
Outside of HRS, Ricky is an investor and NED in a number of companies, mentor to a host of notable entrepreneurs and a family man doing his best to guide the way to his two young children.
Interesting fact:
Prior to setting up HRS, won the BBC1 Action game show Total Wipeout (2009) and was the Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion for a number of UK professional wrestling organisation. Interesting in 2012 Ricky was offered try-outs to join the WWE which he politely declined instead to take part in BBC’s The Apprentice. The rest was history!

Chris is a London Metropolitan University graduate and is ACCA qualified. He joined HRS to set up and establish the finance function. He has been working as FC/FD for the past 10 years in the service industry.
Interesting fact:I was moments away from delivering my second son because we were having a home birth. We left it too late to phone the midwife – she eventually arrived moments before the birth to relieve me of my duties.
Why HRS?I enjoy working at HRS because it’s a growing, ambitious company with a great team of talented, like-minded professionals.
After leaving college, Hayley stepped into the world of recruitment 8 years ago. Her expertise’s are mainly within sales, technology and pharma engineering sectors. At Hyper Recruitment, Hayley is leading and building out the US team and divisions.

Luke has studied Cellular Molecular Biosciences at Sheffield Hallam University and prior to starting a career in recruitment he worked for GSK as a DMPK Scientist. Luke started his a career in recruitment in 2008 beginning as a founding member of ProClinical. During his time he helped grow and set up an international recruitment business that provided staffing solutions across Life sciences to UK, EU (Germany, Switzerland, Belgium etc) as well as US and beyond. Luke has extensive experience in life sciences recruitment covering QA, RA, Clinical, Biometrics, Medical and much more permanent, contract and project-based solutions.
Interesting fact:I live in the Peak District and run a small farm that has Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Pigs, Goats, Sheep and Alpaca.
Debra specialises in supporting Life Science recruitment in the Customer Success team. She has a degree in Architectural Engineering and after spending 2 years working as an Engineer, decided to go into Recruitment for a change and it’s been the best decision ever since.
Interesting fact:
I’ve had quite a few accidents as a child including having to get stitches on my lip from playing in water fight and falling unconscious in primary school after running into a pillar whilst playing tig!
Why HRS?
I like working for HRS because of its “life changing” motto and commitment. Even though I’m not a scientist myself, I like the idea of changing lives by placing candidates into companies who research and develop drugs to better people’s lives.

Ben has over 17 years' hands-on experience operating in the recruitment sector, 10 years of which have been dedicated to supporting the Life Science and Pharmaceutical industries. Ben is currently responsible for both the Scientific and Technical Operations teams at HRS. He is a qualified recruitment professional (via the Recruitment and Employment Confederation) and his expertise lies within the successful delivery, development and leadership of recruitment talent across the Life Science and Technology sectors.
Interesting fact:
During lockdown I managed to run a marathon around the New Forest. My intention is to run around the Isle of Wight in the not too distant future.
Why HRS?The working relationship I have with Ricky as well as other key members of the business was a significant factor in my decision to return. The culture, passion and atmosphere at HRS is fantastic!
Awards:Chloe is a Team Leader specialising within the QA market. Prior to joining HRS, Chloe has spent 5 years within recruitment specialising in the Manufacturing and Engineering industry, recruiting within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and Precision Engineering businesses.

Why HRS?I like working for HRS because of the exciting roles I get to fill whilst helping candidates and clients within an interesting industry.
David is leading the expansion of the HRS brand in the North of England to support existing and new clients with how they collect, use and protect their data. He started his recruitment career over 10 years ago, working alongside Ricky. Since then he has built and led teams in the Technology sector in Sussex, London and Manchester.
Interesting fact:I am a four times Ironman finisher and have raced in triathlons across Europe, my favourite location by far and away was racing in the Austrian Alps.

Rachel is our longest serving member of the operations function at HRS. Her background is payroll, administration, and compliance. She has evolved her role from working closely with the contracts team ensuring all our temporary workers are on the correct contracts and their on-boarding is fully compliant. She has grown this role to the wider business where she has increased and improved the compliance levels in our permanent recruitment processes.
Interesting fact:
Whilst out celebrating my 21st birthday, I met Olly Murrs. He was happy to be in many photos of me and my friends. I was also one of seven people to fit into a Smart car at the same time.
Why HRS?I enjoy my role here at HRS because everyone is positive; from my colleagues in the office to the candidates themselves. There is a positive attitude in the office on a daily basis. It is nice to be involved in a company who cares about the people they are helping to place into work.

Ben started his recruitment career 14 years ago where he progressed to managing a team prior to focusing on his career in internal recruitment. He has headed up internal recruitment for a number of reputable recruitment brands on a regional, national and international level. He is now a monumental part in growing the HRS Life Changing team
Interesting fact:Football is my favourite spectator sport (COYG!) but I have represented teams for rugby at university, club, county and South-East level

Laura has a variety of experience in customer and client facing roles such a Marketing and Events. Using these skills Laura heads up our engagement function at HRS and throughly enjoys overseeing and implementing new ideas across the company.
Interesting fact:Laura also works in the Beauty industry as a freelancer, where she has done everything from fashion shoots to wedding day makeup.

After finising sixth form, Carlie knew she wanted a career in finance. Maths, Business Studies and Economics is what she really enjoyed. Carlie began by gaining experience in a customer facing position at a supervisor level. She then started an accounts position for a property company. Since Carlie has flourished in here role and managed to work her way up to senior positions.
Interesting fact:I have been a season ticket holder at Spurs for 18 years and have a bar area in my family home filled with memorabilia, photos and souvenirs we have collected over the years!
Why HRS?I joined HRS as its important to me to work in a friendly and uplifting environment. The staff really make you feel welcome and part of the family. I also feel I will learn plenty here and broaden my experience and skills to help me on my career path in finance.
Fabio is a Senior Recruitment Consultant and graduated from the University of Bath with a First Class Honours Degree in Sport and Social Science. Fabio is responsible for hiring contract Validation Engineers and leads.

I am a Semi-Professional Referee currently officiating on the Southern/Isthmian and National League.

After graduating from a photography degree, Charlotte found Office Management through her love of all things organsation, she enjoys using her position to make a difference in office efficiency.

Rhea graduated with a first-class degree in International Business from Brunel University. While completing her degree Rhea gained customer service experience in a number of part time jobs. This experience lead her to starting a career in recruitment at HRS.
Interesting fact:I started Bollywood dancing at the age of 6 and performed at Trafalgar Square for a Diwali Show in front of 25 thousand people.

Edward joined HRS after university in 2017. With many years recruitment experience, he is now a Senior Recruitment Consultant working in our Tech Ops and Engineering team.

I enjoy travelling and have visited over 20 different countries.

I enjoy working at HRS because of people, everyone has created an environment of hard work and we are also rewarded for this. I chose recruitment, in particular HRS, as they specialise in science and I believe in our company values of supporting such an important industry as Pharmaceuticals.
Before stating recruitment Lillie was a nurse. She started during the Pandemic and has worked in Acute Medicine, Paediatrics, Oncology and A&E. Working for HRS has allowed Lillie to combine her passion for helping others, and love for sales and recruitment.

Why HRS?I like how Ricky brought a sense of London to Loughton, and how HRS is a company that really cares for their employees. I knew I would be supported through building out the US market and am excited to work in a passionate and highly devoted office.
Zack is an experienced recruiter having worked mostly on the agency side with some recent experience as a recruitment business partner, investigating what life on the other side of the fence is like. He has worked in various industries and specialisms, leveraging that experience every time he enters something new. Zack is recruiting in the US market at HRS.
Interesting fact:I travel a lot and have just returned from living & working in Thailand and Philippines the last 15 months, I’m a scuba diving instructor when I’m not recruiting and an underwater photographer looking for weird and wonderful creatures to take a snap of.
Why HRS?
I worked for HRS in 2017 & 18 focusing on the Engineering side of the business, so I know it’s a great company to work for. I was also close to hitting some company records, so am hoping I can come back for the win!
Timi works on the Scientific team specialising in the biotech, biopharma, and biotherapeutic sectors. He has worked as a MLA in a laboratory and a health advisor within the NHS. Timi soon found his passion working in a sales role and enjoys working in faced-paced environments whilst being able to communicate with others, come across different personalities, and hear about life stories and experiences that inspire and motivate him.

Chris is an experienced head-hunter specialising in Freelance/Contract appointments across the full Life Science cycle. These typically focus on the Clinical Operations, Biometrics, Medical, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Pre-Clinical and more. He has worked with many clients including the biggest, market leading CRO's, Biotech and Pharmaceutical organisations across the globe.

Jack started his recruitment journey at the start of 2022 after an extensive period in the energy sector as an area manager. He worked in the EU Quality Assurance market across pharma/biotech, helping Dutch and German clients fill their interim freelancing needs. He is now using that knowledge in HRS to grow out the market into the EU focussing on the Quality niche.

I play drums in a metal band with music on Spotify and recent airplay on BBC Radio 1!

With over eight years of recruitment experience across various sectors, Jason started his recruitment journey in 2008 as a resourcer within IT Banking and established himself as the go to person within the country for his niche. Having recently made the decision to move into Life Sciences, he is loving every minute of it and excited to build a successful career within this sector.
Interesting fact:I used to be on a reality TV series for a couple years.
Why HRS?Ricky's values really aligned with mine and I instantly wanted to work for him off the back of my first interview. I was given the confidence that I would be walking into a positive and hard working environment.

Sarah graduated from Cardiff University in 2020 with a degree in Biomedical Science, after which she worked in the food industry as a product development technologist working on exciting NPD projects. The itch to travel was too strong so Sarah left to go travelling around Australasia and South East Asia before settling in Sydney, where she started her first role in recruitment. Having returned to the UK, she is now continuing her career as a Recruitment Consultant with HRS.

After graduating with a 2:1 from Swansea University in Economics BSc, Rahul wanted to begin a career in recruitment to start something where he could help others and that would suit his skillset. Recruitment was the perfect blend of the two.
Interesting fact:
Just before university I wanted a bit of money to enjoy myself so I did a bit of modelling, you won’t find the pictures anywhere though!
