Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cell Line Development Lead to join a innovative biotechnology company based in London. As the Cell Line Development Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading the cell line development program, generating and enhancing cell lines that are crucial for producing cultivated fat at scale. Collaborating with stem cell biologists, computational biologists, and bioprocess engineers, you will significantly influence the future of food.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Cell Line Development Lead will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Cell Line Development Lead you will be isolating, engineering, and validating new adipogenic cell lines.

2. You will be leading a dedicated team to develop and implement automated workflows for mammalian stem cell engineering.

3. As the Cell Line Development Lead you will be developing cell lines that are integral to the companies R&D and manufacturing processes.

4. You will be managing projects and coordinating workflows involving cell line development and molecular biology.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cell Line Development Lead we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in molecular biology, synthetic biology, mammalian stem cell biology, or a related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in mammalian cell line development and genome engineering.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with molecular biology, cell line engineering tools, molecular cloning, and genetic construct design (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9, Flow Cytometry)
