Role Overview

Im currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Province of Como, Italy area. As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the management & coordination of maintenance activities across the GMP facility.

As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing both routine and complex maintenance tasks, executed by an adept internal team or by reputable external service providers. Your expertise will ensure the precise execution of the calibration plan, adhering to set schedules and frequencies. Collaborating on system developments and enhancements, you will propose modifications aimed at boosting system performance and efficiency, all within the framework of GMP compliance.

Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the Manager in maintaining essential departmental documentation, including procedures and critical spare parts lists. You will adeptly plan and oversee the spare parts warehouse, streamlining the procurement process for maintenance materials within budgetary constraints. Your innovative approach will lead to cost-saving initiatives, contributing to the companys financial health.

In your role, you will also be responsible for the meticulous management and enhancement of maintenance and warehouse management software, ensuring supplier selection aligns with safety and GMP qualifications. Collaboration with HSE and quality departments will be key to maintaining standards across all maintenance activities.

Your contribution to optimising technological systems will be invaluable, focusing on operational costs and efficiency. Embracing the companys Lean Operational Excellence ethos, you will apply and advocate for tools such as Visual Boards and Gemba Walks within your department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures and GMP standards.
2. Manage the calibration plan and contribute to system improvements and optimisations.
3. Oversee the spare parts warehouse and maintenance procurement processes.
4. Engage with suppliers, ensuring their qualifications meet safety and GMP requirements.

Role Requirements

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this pivotal role as a Maintenance Manager, the following should be evident in your profile and history:

1. Must have experience of APIs
2. An engineering degree or a technical diploma.
3. Experience in managing maintenance services within the pharmaceutical or chemical sectors.
4. Ability to manage operational teams and liaise effectively with suppliers and contractors.
