Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Process Chemist to join a leading company based in the Oxfordshire area. As the Process Chemist you will be working under a Technologist, playing a key role in delivering strategic projects focused on supply security, component and process optimization, enhancing manufacturing capacity and flexibility, new product development, and cost efficiency. This position also offers opportunities for global collaboration with other MFT teams, as well as with Technology, Procurement, and Manufacturing.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Process Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Maintain high standards of laboratory safety and cleanliness, and manage experimental programs with supervision, including analytical testing.

2. Operate Pilot Plant units and contribute to process improvements, safety activities, and raw material evaluations.

3. Provide analysis and technical recommendations to support troubleshooting, process optimization, and New Product Development.

4. Document experimental findings and enhance understanding of products and processes through effective knowledge management.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Process Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A solid foundation in science, holding a degree in chemistry or a closely related field.

2. Proven technical skills with hands-on experience in laboratory or pilot plant settings, particularly in organic synthesis; familiarity with analytical chemistry methods is a plus.

3. Strong attention to detail for managing test outcomes, technical data, and lab records, along with the ability to analyse results and provide actionable insights.
