Role Overview

We are currently looking for an R&D Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Berkshire area. As the R&D Scientist, you will be responsible for delivering high-value technical innovation within a Protein and Process Analytics R&D group.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the R&D Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Perform experiments, analyze, and report results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

2. Ensure that results are accurate and that the scientific conclusions are meaningful and linked to experimental goals.

3. Develop skills and expertise in the Bioprocess area (e.g., ELISA, PCR, HPLC), with a focus on the use and optimization of automation equipment.

4. Maintain accurate and timely records to appropriate quality standards and prepare high-quality data summaries as required.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the R&D Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in life sciences, preferably a BSc in Biochemistry, Biology, or Biomanufacturing. An MSc or above is preferred.

2. Proven industry experience in analytical techniques, specifically ELISA, ddPCR, and HPLC.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory automation equipment.
