Role Overview

We are currently looking for an R&D Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the R&D Scientist, you will be responsible for contributing to the execution of cell line construction activities within the Expression R&D team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the R&D Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the R&D Scientist, Conduct mammalian (CHO) suspension cell culture.

2. Operate and contribute to ambr15 (small scale bioreactor) workflows.

3. Generate new expression vectors using molecular biology techniques for the production of complex therapeutic proteins.

4. Collaborate with team members across R&D to share ideas and improve processes.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the R&D Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a biological science (BSc).

2. Proven industry experience in mammalian cell culture and biologics.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with bioreactors/ambr and molecular biology techniques.
