Role Overview

We are currently looking for Research Associate to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Research Associate, you will be responsible for supporting our In Vitro Pharmacology team in conducting target-based screening for drug discovery projects focused on immunity and inflammation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Research Associate will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Conduct protein and cell-based functional assays using techniques such as gene reporter assays, FRET, FP, and ELISA.
2. Screen small molecules, biologics, and new therapeutic modalities using these assays.
3. Operate liquid handling robotics and screening assay equipment.
4. Analyse data using curve fitting and statistical software, and interpret and summarise results for presentation at project meetings.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Associate, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in performing cell-based assays and good sterile technique.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with in-vitro plate-based assays, such as FRET and FP.
