Sample Data Entry & Accessioning Technician

We are currently looking for a Sample Data Entry & Accessioning Technician to join a leading healthcare company based in the Cambridge area. As the Sample Data Entry & Accessioning Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper handling of all clinical specimens received and preparing them for laboratory testing.

Your duties as the Sample Data Entry & Accessioning Technician will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Receive and sort specimens for testing.
2. Review requisitions for missing information and work closely with Client Services to obtain and distribute new information.
3. Accurately enter data into LIS, label samples, create folders, and generate specimen travel documents.
4. Assemble case paperwork, including pre-analytic documentation and labels.

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Sample Data Entry & Accessioning Technician, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in life sciences (e.g Biomedical Science
2. Proven industry experience in clinical specimen processing or a similar role.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with MS Office programs.
