Upstream Process Scientist

We are currently looking for a Upstream Process Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in Berkshire. As the Upstream Process Scientist you will be responsible working with / supporting antibody based therapeutics and mammalian expression systems.

Please note this is an initial 12 month contract, with likely extension.

Your duties as the Upstream Process Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Upstream Process Scientist you will be responsible working with / supporting antibody based therapeutics and mammalian expression systems.

2. As the Upstream Process Scientist, you will perform Upstream Process Development activities, working with CHO cells and with Ambr 10, 200 and 250.

3. As the upstream process scientist, you will provide technical expertise and upstream processing support for both internal customers and manufacturing, as well as the CMO and technology transfer teams.

4. As the Upstream Process Scientist, you will support team compliance with all quality management systems, including reviewing, writing and updating internal procedures and documents (e.g. Lab procedures, SOPs, templates).

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Upstream Process Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant Masters with 1-2 years industry experience (Could be a placement year), or PhD.

2. Proven industry experience in upstream processing, process development/manufacturing/analytical sciences.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with mammalian cell expression systems, performing Upstream Process Development activities, working with CHO cells and with Ambr 10, 200 and 250.
