Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist

We are currently looking for a Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of downstream processes for the recovery and purification of antibody-based therapeutics.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist, you will undertake purification process development experiments for fundamental understanding of individual unit operations.
2. As the Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist, you will assist with the evaluation of new bioprocess purification technologies.
3. As the Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist, you will identify and utilise appropriate analytical techniques.
4. As the Downstream Process (DSP) Scientist, you will effectively communicate findings to a multi-disciplinary team.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Associate Downstream Process Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in downstream processing tools, chromatography (AKTA or Ion exchange) and purification (Ultrafiltration or Centrifugation).
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical methods for assessing product purity and antibody protein characterisation.
