Senior SAR Controller Lead

A leading company in the Pharmaceutical industry, based in the Manchester area, is currently seeking a SAR Controller Lead. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with 2 days onsite and 3 days from home, and the possibility of extension through to December 2025. 

As the SAR Controller Lead, you will be responsible for analysing and monitoring divisional and functional costs, acting as an interface with relevant functions, and supporting and advising the business on overhead financial matters.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the SAR Controller Lead will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the SAR Controller Lead, you will be supporting decision-making on overhead costs by providing insights and transparency on spend, capitalization, and FTEs.

2. As the SAR Controller Lead, you will be leading, coordinating, and presenting financial results to different business partners, including actual performance, outlook, budget, and risks and opportunities.

3. As the SAR Controller Lead, you will be building strong relationships with senior managers and their teams.

4. As the SAR Controller Lead, you will prepare and analyse overhead costs consolidation and supporting innovation in reporting and systems.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the SAR Controller Lead, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant major.

2. Extensive industry experience in finance-related functions and international roles.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Excel, accounting systems (preferably SAP), and financial reporting.
