Business Development Director (Biologics Drug Product Services)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Director (Biologics Drug Product Services) to join a global biologics CDMO. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving growth and securing contracts for biologics drug product development and manufacturing services.

 

The role is remote based and we are ideally looking for candidates living in the East Coast.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Your duties as the Business Development Director (Biologics Drug Product Services) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

 

1. Responsible for driving business development activities across biologics (large molecules) drug product development and manufacturing services (including formulation development, drug product process development, clinical and commercial DP fill finish manufacturing, etc.) across existing and new clients in North America.

2. You will work closely with the VP of Business Development and Commercial Leadership Team, as well as operations, to develop the right strategies to achieve commercial targets.

3. Carry our competitor analysis, and provide input required for the development of future service offerings.

4. Independently manage the selling, proposal, and contract negotiation process. Represent the company at trade shows and contribute to commercial strategies.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Business Development Director (Biologics Drug Product Services) we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history

 

1. You will ideally be degree qualified with a minimum of Bachelor’s degree within a Scientific discipline. A PhD and/or MBA is desirable.

2. Proven industry experience in a commercial sales role within the CDMO Biologics drug product development and manufacturing services space

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with developing and implementing sales strategies.
