ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are currently looking for a “Cell Line Development Engineer” to join a leading biotechnology company based in the London area. As the Cell Line Development Engineer, you will be responsible for generating and improving animal cell lines..

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Cell Line Development Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Engineering and validating new adipogenic cell lines.

2. Optimising and improving the cell line engineering pipeline to accelerate the screening of new gene targets.

3. Conducting hands-on laboratory work, including molecular biology and cell culture.

4. Ensuring the cell lines developed are essential to R&D and manufacturing processes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Cell Line Development Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in molecular biology, synthetic biology, mammalian stem cell biology, or a related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in mammalian cell line development and genome engineering.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with molecular biology, cell line engineering tools, molecular cloning, and genetic construct design.
