Construction Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW
A leading company in the construction industry is seeking a dedicated Construction Manager to join their Delivery Department in the Brussels area. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of laboratory projects, ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure modifications and on-site activities. As the Construction Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining safety standards and managing project execution.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Construction Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Overseeing on-site activities, including supplier follow-up, planning, risk management, and ensuring safety compliance with a goal of zero accidents.
2. Managing and executing construction work within laboratory environments, ensuring all safety measures are defined and implemented in collaboration with the EHS team.
3. Monitoring project progress and integrating seamlessly into a team of around ten professionals within the research and laboratory project department.
4. Engaging in stakeholder management and maintaining strong technical skills in areas such as HVAC, piping, CAD, and E/I.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Construction Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in engineering or a related field.
2. Extensive industry experience in managing laboratory projects, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical environments.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with safety regulations, project monitoring, and stakeholder management.
