ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for a “Data Analyst” to join a leading technology company based in the London area. As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging SQL to manage and extract insights from complex datasets and using Power BI to create compelling visualizations that drive business decisions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Data Analyst will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data. Maintain, clean, and structure large datasets for analysis. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security in databases.
2. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Support decision-making by providing actionable recommendations based on data. Work closely with business teams to define key metrics and KPIs.
3. Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Translate complex data into clear, meaningful visual representations. Optimize dashboards for performance and usability.
4. Work with cross-functional teams (IT, marketing, finance, operations) to support data-driven initiatives. Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide training and documentation on Power BI dashboards and data processes.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Data Analyst, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
2. Proven industry experience in data analysis and data visualization.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with SQL and Power BI.
