ROLE OVERVIEW
An exciting role awaits for an experienced Data Engineer with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to join a high-impact digital transformation project for a leading organisation based in the LOCATION area. As the Data Engineer, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and optimising data pipelines, enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Data Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
2. Implement data ingestion, transformation, and processing frameworks using GCP-native tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
3. Ensure data integrity, security, and governance compliance in line with industry best practices.
4. Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and business teams to support real-time analytics and machine learning initiatives.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Data Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a related field.
2. Proven industry experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python, and/or Java for data processing and scripting.
