Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical

We are actively recruiting a Design Engineer – Pharmaceutical to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Walloon Region, Belgium. As the Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical, you will be responsible for carrying out feasibility studies within Biological, Pharmaceutical, utilities and infrastructures projects. The portfolio size is 150million € of capital spend and this is a global role.

This is a mission until the end of December 2025, with likely extension and for an experienced candidate, can offer 90-95 euro per hour, 40 hours per week.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Design Engineer – Pharmaceutical will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical, you will consolidate the ideation of projects by preparing and presenting scenarios to management for strategic decisions.

2. As the Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical, you will deliver feasibility and early design studies, including user requirement briefs, technical deliverables, budgets, schedules, risks, alternatives, and prioritization.

3. As the Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical, you will assist Business Investment Partners by collecting user and site requirements, completing Project Ranking Forms, and establishing the project portfolio in the form of an investment plan.

4. As the Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical, you will propose technical solutions to optimize capital expenditure, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, guarantee safety, and achieve environmental objectives.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Design Engineer - Pharmaceutical, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in engineering or a related field.

2. Extensive industry experience in technical project management within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory planning, sustainability principles, and green building design.
