Planned Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

We are currently looking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join a medical technology company based in the Devon area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and be part of a team that manufactures millions of lifesaving medical devices each year.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will enjoy a collaborative and growth-centered culture, with the chance to shape the trajectory of the company while leaving a lasting impact. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment by performing regular preventive maintenance tasks and other activities as required according to the equipment maintenance plan. You will also assist the manufacturing unit team with production maintenance issues and mentor the unit technical staff in troubleshooting and operational repair techniques.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Maintenance Technician will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Maintain equipment by performing AM/PM activities, ensuring activities are completed on time and executed according to the plan.
2. Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well documented.
3. Conduct regular maintenance audits of equipment, identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities to improve PM program effectiveness.
4. Provide leadership for TPM activities as assigned.


Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Maintenance Technician, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or time-served experience).
2. Proven industry experience in a related plant maintenance environment, ideally within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with maintenance systems and procedures, ideally SAP.
