

ROLE OVERVIEW
A leading company in the engineering sector is seeking a Principal Test Engineering Technician to join their team in the LOCATION area. As the Principal Test Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in assisting Test Engineers with the development of complex printed circuit board in-circuit test fixtures, as well as box and PC-based functional test equipment for electro-mechanical, hydro-pneumatic, and optical sub-assemblies and systems.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Principal Test Engineering Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Fabricate, duplicate, document, update, repair, and certify new and existing production test equipment.
2. Provide design for manufacturability and design for test input on products and test equipment designs.
3. Ensure that test fixtures and equipment comply with regulatory and company standards.
4. Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, calibration, and validation of new and existing test equipment.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Principal Test Engineering Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
2. Proven industry experience in debugging and troubleshooting electronics.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with constructing equipment, interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, and reverse engineering mechanical fixturing.
