Statistical Programmer

We are currently looking for a Safety Statistical Programmer to join a leading pharmaceutical company on a remote basis. As the Safety Statistical Programmer, you will be responsible for contributing to the creation and delivery of safety analyses and reports to support pharmacovigilance activities.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Safety Statistical Programmer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Safety Statistical Programmer, you will perform SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Macro) and R for safety data analysis.

2. As the Safety Statistical Programmer, you will collaborate closely with safety statisticians to ensure specifications for safety analyses are complete and statistical plans are executed efficiently with the right level of validation.

3. As the Safety Statistical Programmer, you will provide programming support for Safety Assessment Committees (SAC) and Safety Management Teams (SMT) meetings, including the timely generation of ad-hoc analyses and tables, listings, figures (TLFs).

4. As the Safety Statistical Programmer, you will, compute background rates from various sources for key adverse events of safety interest and implement statistical methods for safety monitoring in blinded clinical trials.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Safety Statistical Programmer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field.

2. Proven industry experience in programming within the pharmaceutical industry.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Macro) and R for safety data analysis.
