Senior Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a “Senior Project Engineer” to join a leading Biotechnology Manufacturing company based in the Kent area. As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes for a cGMP production facility to maximise efficiency and achieve manufacturing goals.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Senior Project Engineer will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Create and support Capital Approval Form (CAF) initiation and documentation approval process.

2. Develop individual projects and support site functions in their design development from an engineering perspective.

3. Run or participate in capital project meetings, including monitoring cost and time deliverables. Work closely with the site leadership team in development of future site capital plans.

4. Participate in and run continuous improvement process activities across the site's operational and Research and Development (R&D) areas.

5. Develop site standards to support improvements, remove recurring faults and avoid creation of new faults during project execution

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Project Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. You will be degree qualified within a relevant engineering degree such as Chemical or Process Engineering.

2. Proven industry experience in project engineering across highly regulated manufacturing environments, such as Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical or Food Manufacturing.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with cGMP and Six Sigma continuous improvement would be preferable.
